The Music Notes are intended to
accompany the Open University (UK) Music Courses. I have successfully completed
the music courses A214 (Elements of Music), A314 (From Baroque to Romantic; discontinued)
and A341 (Beethoven). The notes cover the musical periods Baroque, Classical
and Romantic. Musical styles, main genres and major composers are discussed. A
glossary is available as a revision aid. Also available is recommended
resources. An extensive list of links to relevant educational resources, music
journals, radio stations, music catalogues and record companies is included for
those looking for more.
